Sarandë wins on connections, not on small-town calm
The ferry port, central promenade and bus/taxi options make Sarandë the easiest deep-south base without a car. That practicality brings an urban waterfront, traffic and substantial summer building density. Choose it for reach; do not describe it as the quiet default for the Riviera.
Three nights allow one city evening, one Butrint/Ksamil decision and one flexible coast or inland day. Add nights when Corfu arrival or departure requires a weather and check-in buffer.

Separate the three major day trips
Butrint is the strongest heritage day. Ksamil is a beach decision. The Blue Eye is an inland nature stop with its own access and crowd pattern. Putting all three into one commercial day tour may be efficient transport, but it gives each place less time and should be sold honestly as a sampler.
Choose one major outing per day. Keep the last day local if a ferry or flight connection follows.

Ferry and onward travel need live confirmation
A Corfu–Sarandë itinerary depends on operator, date, vessel, port check-in and the separate onward connection on Corfu. Seasonal schedules should never be copied into permanent article text. Confirm with the operator and port shortly before travel.
For onward travel north, verify the actual departure point and do not stack a long coastal bus directly before an international flight. Sarandë is connected, but it is still far from Tirana’s airport.
