Use Himarë as a town, not a string of beach pins
Spile is the practical central beach and promenade zone. Potami extends the walkable coast south of the centre, while Livadhi is a broader bay that usually needs a longer walk, taxi or car depending on the exact room. Himarë Castle sits above the modern town and deserves a separate early or late outing rather than a midday add-on.
Three nights create two usable coast days: one for the town and nearest shore, one for Livadhi, the castle or a single road excursion. Five nights make sense for travellers who want slow beach time and will not turn every day into a drive.

One realistic full day
Start with the castle or an early swim, return for the hottest hours and keep the late afternoon for the promenade or one nearby bay. Porto Palermo can be a deliberate road outing, but combining it with several beaches creates parking and access decisions instead of time at the water.
Ask about current beach management, parking and road access. A public coastline does not mean every serviced section operates without loungers or a venue, and conditions can change between seasons.
Getting in and moving on
Drivers should keep daylight for the coastal approach and obtain parking instructions from the property. Bus travellers must verify the operator, pickup point and date for both arrival and departure; the coast is not a single turn-up-and-go urban network.
Himarë is easiest between Vlorë/Dhërmi and Sarandë in a southbound road trip. Without a car, Sarandë is the safer base when Butrint, Corfu or multiple day trips matter more than small-town atmosphere.
